Technology Leap Accelerates Intelligent Manufacturing Value
SCIIF 2026 Concludes Successfully
On 12 June 2026, the three-day 2026 South China International Industry Fair (SCIIF) concluded successfully at Shenzhen World Exhibition & Convention Center (Bao'an New Hall). This year's event brought together eight core themed sections, covered an exhibition area of 80,000 square meters, attracted over 800 exhibitors from home and abroad, and welcomed 120,249 professional visits.
"Over these three days, what we have witnessed is not merely exhibits, but the collective leap in China's manufacturing sector from 'Made' to 'Intelligently Made'," said Gary Liu, Managing Director of Hannover Milano Fairs Shanghai Ltd., one of the organizers of SCIIF. Supported by a complete ecosystem spanning policy guidance, technology implementation, industrial applications and ecosystem upgrading, AI is moving deeper into the industrial core. Embodied intelligence is accelerating towards real-world deployment, while domestic end-to-end production capabilities are beginning to take shape.

Ecosystem Leap: Domestic Integrated Manufacturing Capabilities Gain Momentum
In the robotics exhibition area, live demonstrations covering welding, handling, assembly and palletizing were staged throughout the exhibition. Heavy-duty robot exhibits drew steady crowds, while the interactive area for collaborative robots continued to attract strong visitor interest. Exhibitors specializing in core components also attracted strong attention, with reducers, servo motors, sensors and other critical components drawing large numbers of exhibitors and visitors for discussion. Human–robot collaboration and flexible manufacturing were among the dominant themes throughout the exhibition area.
Yaskawa Electric's booth manager spoke highly of the event: " Yaskawa has participated in SCIIF for many consecutive years; the exhibition has provided us with an valuable platform to showcase our products and technologies, while also allowing us to engage directly with customers and exchange insights face to face. The on-site professional buyer delegations and university collaboration and resource-matching activities proved highly effective, and we also discussed industry trends with our peers, which proved highly rewarding. CHAIFU ROBOT , occupying a prime location near the entrance of Hall 9, attracted a huge crowd during the exhibition. Its featured ClusterPark X containerized energy storage battery cluster assembly workstation, equipped with a 3-tonne industrial robot, is designed for the storage and handling of new energy batteries. With its impressive and innovative design, the product drew numerous visitors to take a closer look. In addition, the company's robot with a maximum payload of 5,000.36 kg set a Guinness World Record, becoming a major highlight of the exhibition. A representative from CHAIFU ROBOT expressed great satisfaction with the outcome of the exhibition, saying, " Our participation has delivered excellent results. We look forward to deepening our cooperation with the organizers in the future, continuing to showcase high-quality new products, and creating value together."
Intelligent Control Leap: AI Powers Core Industrial Processes
The industrial automation exhibition area attracted strong visitors’ traffic and buzzed with activity and lively exchanges. The deep integration of AI and industrial control emerged as one of the defining technological themes of the exhibition. From intelligent programming assistance and fault prediction to predictive maintenance and edge computing, AI is rapidly moving beyond proofs of concept and into real-world control systems, significantly lowering the barriers to intelligent manufacturing.
Beckhoff Automation has participated in the fair for five consecutive years. The stand manager spoke highly of this year's event: "Visitor traffic was exceptionally strong this year, with a noticeable increase in targeted clients. We attracted many high-quality professional visitors, several of whom said they had gained a great deal from in-depth discussions with our engineers. This exhibition has further strengthened our corporate brand image; while bolstering the confidence of existing clients, we have also won a number of new customers looking to expand overseas and seeking to upgrade towards high-end intelligent manufacturing."

Hualong Xunda showcased its domestically developed PLCs, HualongOS, JIC Cloud and embodied intelligence solutions. The display highlighted application scenarios for self-reliant and secure embodied intelligence enabled by the dual-engine approach of "Loongson + HarmonyOS". When asked about their experience at the exhibition, a representative from Hualong Xunda said, "SCIIF has delivered significant platform value. During the event, our team engaged in in-depth discussions with numerous industry experts and corporate representatives, gathering a wealth of first-hand market feedback. We will continue to empower industrial upgrading through innovative technologies in the future."
The TURCK booth was also highly popular throughout the fair, with a steady stream of visitors stopping by for consultations and discussions. The quality of the professional visitors particularly impressed the booth manager. He said, "Thanks to this grand event, our brand awareness and reputation in South China have increased significantly, and our presence in South China has continued to grow. The whole event was highly successful and rewarding. We are very much looking forward to participating in SCIIF again."
Kinco focused on its three core strategic areas - embodied intelligence, logistics and material handling, and collaborative and industrial robots - showcasing frameless torque motors, omnidirectional wheel modules, i-Kinco integrated servo systems, high-end HMIs and full-stack motion control solutions, fully demonstrating its 'ultimate integration' technical philosophy and product portfolio. A representative from the Kinco booth said, “The fair delivered high-quality visitor traffic and highly efficient, professional organization and service, allowing us to achieve fruitful results in technical exchange, market expansion, and ecosystem cooperation. We thank the organizers for their meticulous preparation, which provided us with an excellent platform. We wish SCIIF continued growth and strength.”
MOSIONX also gained access to a large number of high-quality leads at SCIIF, further enhancing its brand presence in the South China market and rising its reputation and regional influence. A representative from MOSIONX said, "We gained a great deal from this exhibition. Application Leap: From Standalone Equipment to Turnkey Solutions
This year's laser exhibition zone focused on high-growth manufacturing applications such as new energy vehicles, 3C electronics, semiconductors, sheet metal processing and hardware manufacturing, showcasing the industry’s transition from standalone machines to application-oriented solutions. From cutting, welding and marking to cleaning, cladding and micromachining, a range of efficient processing equipment and application solutions tailored to specific manufacturing process. In addition, various laser sources, core components, intelligent software systems and supporting solutions were exhibited together, creating a comprehensive showcase spanning core parts through system integration and drawing a steady stream of visitors and business inquiries.
Han’s Laser Smart Equipment Group made a strong appearance with its full range of flagship equipment and showcased five flagship product categories. In discussing the exhibition, a representative from the brand management department said, “SCIIF closely aligned with the South China’s transition toward high-end and intelligent manufacturing, and enabled us to comprehensively showcase innovative technologies and efficient solutions in laser cutting, tube cutting, bending and welding. As a professional and efficient platform, SCIIF also brought us many industry professionals and high-quality customers, creating an excellent opportunity for technical exchange, brand promotion, and market expansion.”

HSG Laser also showcased its “Supercar Series South China Roadshow,” presenting its latest innovations in high efficiency processing, intelligent manufacturing, and digital applications. The booth attracted representatives from industry associations, corporate executives and professional buyer groups. A market representative from HSG Laser said, “SCIIF has built a high-quality platform for display and exchange for enterprises across the industrial chain. We look forward to maintaining close cooperation with the organizers in the future, jointly promoting high-quality development in the laser equipment and smart manufacturing industries, and bringing new momentum to the transformation and upgrading of manufacturing sector.”
Embodiment Leap: Embodied Intelligence Accelerates into Real-World Industrial Applications
The debut South China International Embodied Intelligence Special Exhibition proved hugely popular from day one. The humanoid robot live-demo area drew heavy foot traffic, every live teardown session was packed with attendees, long queues formed at the AI robot interactive experience area, and business discussions were in full swing at the booths of core components such as servo motors and dexterous hands. From key components to complete robotic systems, SCIIF offered visitors a tangible and comprehensive picture of the embodied intelligence ecosystem.
One of SCIIF’s standout attractions was the humanoid robot and drone live teardown and technology forum, which drew strong interest throughout the event. Under the theme “Live Teardown | Cost Insights | Technology Decoded — A Practical Walkthrough of How Humanoid Robots & Drones Evolve from Cost Reduction to Blockbuster Products,” the event openly dissected physical products and revealed the internal structure and assembly logic of key components such as actuated joints, dexterous hands and servo drives.

“The exhibition remains as popular as ever, but the business directions of participating companies have also changed significantly — many manufacturers have moved from traditional supply of key components to core substitute technologies designed for the age of AI and embodied intelligence,” said Zhang Hui, Deputy Secretary-General of the Chinese Society of Image and Graphics and professor at Hunan University. From the "brain" and "cerebellum" to perception and cognition, SCIIF showcased the entire embodied intelligence value chain, which is also one of Shenzhen's key manufacturing ecosystem strengths.
The machine vision exhibition area featured a wide range of technological highlights spanning precision inspection and safety management. 3D laser displacement sensors empowered precision manufacturing through high-density point-cloud imaging capabilities, while intelligent vision systems enabled multi-target, simultaneous management of multiple targets and dynamic risk assessment in high-risk areas such as power plants and steel mills. From IO-Link intelligent sensor data acquisition to SCADA-based visualization and analysis, from AI quality inspection to 2D/3D precision inspection, machine vision is evolving from a “inspection tool” into an “intelligent decision-making system,” becoming an indispensable “industrial eyes” for smart manufacturing.
In the CMM Electronics Manufacturing Automation & Resources exhibition area, the integrated production-line capabilities of domestic equipment became one of the biggest highlights. From solder paste printing and reflow soldering to dispensing, domestic core process equipment attracted many manufacturing visitors with performance on par with imported products and a clear cost advantage, keeping booths busy throughout the exhibition. From high-end inspection and vision to intelligent logistics for electronic warehouses and line-side logistics, the back-end assembly solutions of domestic electronic equipment are moving beyond demonstration and into practical deployment.
Shared Vision: Over 30 Events Shaping the Future of Intelligent Manufacturing
Running concurrently with the exhibition, over 30 high-level forums and procurement matchmaking events were held alongside, creating a comprehensive platform for deep integration between industry, academia, research and users. From forward-looking insights from leading academicians and industry experts to real-world case studies from leading companies, and from commercialization of university research to the precise matching of industrial needs, the events helped build a complete pathway from laboratory research to industrial production, and from technological innovation to commercial applications, accelerating the transition of South China's manufacturing sector from technological breakthroughs to ecosystem-level collaboration.

From technology debuts to real-world applications, and from individual breakthroughs to integrated production-line solutions, what SCIIF 2026 has showcased is a vivid picture of China's manufacturing industry moving to new heights.

From 16 to 18 June 2027, the South China International Industry Fair will return to Shenzhen, where it will once again join hands with industry partners to embark on a new journey toward intelligent manufacturing.
